0-2

So I was all ready to post again, for the first time in forever, but then I got home and found a letter from the Tulsa firm. A letter. In a thin envelope.

You know what that means, kids.

Gymnastics

No one has written on this thing for a long time so I think I will.

So the other day, Tuesday to be exact, I one of my friends asked me if I wanted to go with her to help time a gymnastics meet (would it be called a meet?). So I went and it was actually really fun. We helped time the beam. Now, I've never seen real gymnastics exept on TV for the olympics. I wish I was that talented. I could never do it but I learned alot more about gymnastics. So basically that's been the highlight of my week so far. Exciting huh?

Bowling

Yes, I went bowling yesterday. Wa-hoo. It was some good times. I got an 85 the first time and 91 the second. Now that might not sound too remarkable, however, that is quite an achievement. I think that I'm getting better. Yippy. Exciting stuff.

The Miers Nomination

I'm very purposely not commenting on the Miers nomination, because a less-qualified person could hardly have been chosen. Is Bush even trying anymore?

Sen. Brownback has announced that he is "skeptical" of the pick. I think this is the closest I've ever come to agreeing with him.

Exciting stuff

I'm going to my first Capitals game on Friday. You're super excited.

In other news, I mailed cookies to Erin today, fulfilling an obligation to her. I told her last week that if she called me, I'd send her cookies. She did, and I did. You're super excited.

That is all.

bookin' flights and savin' bucks

Last night, I was trying to schedule my plane ticket for my callback next week, and was having credit card difficulties. Turns out it was my own fault. Anyway, tickets were running $570! I didn't care too much, since I'm getting reimbursed, but still, I felt bad for making the firm pay that much. However, since my card wasn't working, I had to postpone until today.

Note that today is 9 days before the flight.

Today I got online, expecting the prices to have gone up somewhat, only to find that the going rate is now....

.... wait for it ....

$380.

Are you kidding? A two-hundred dollar decrease in one day, less than two weeks before the flight?

It's madness, I tell you. Madness.

Anyway, my credit card idiocy ended, I booked the flight at the favorable price, and everyone lived happily ever after.

The end.
